Airtightness, Breathability and Condensation Risk in Buildings

Firstplanit invites you to join ASBP and the Natural Fibre Insulation Group for an informative online training session on the topic of airtightness, breathability, and condensation risk in buildings. The session will take place on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023, from 12:30-14:00 via Zoom.

The event will feature prominent speakers from the industry, including Mark Lynn, Managing Director at Thermafleece/Eden Renewables, Neil Turner, UK Technical Sales Manager at Ecological Building Systems, and Umendra Singh, Technical Expert-Bio-based Systems at Soprema.

The training will provide an in-depth exploration of the relationship between airtightness, breathability, and condensation risk in homes and buildings, and how natural fibre insulation can contribute to improving energy efficiency, optimizing indoor air quality, and ensuring the durability of building fabric.

The program will include an introduction to breathability by Mark Lynn, an explanation of breathability and airtightness by Neil Turner, and a discussion on condensation risk analysis by Umendra Singh. The event will conclude with a Q&A session.

The event is free for ASBP members, architects, designers, and specifiers, and the fees are £20 +VAT for members of partner organizations and £30 +VAT for non-members. Partner organizations include ACAN, AECB, Building Performance Network, BWF, CIBSE, Fit for the Future, FIS, Good Homes Alliance, natureplus, Retrofit Works, Passivhaus Trust, SuperHomes, STBA, The Green Register, and Woodknowledge Wales.
